ALL ABOUT OUR

GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM

This program is available to families who live within an hour of our farm. We typically choose the first pick female of each litter to place in a guardian home. These homes cannot have another female dog.

What is it?

Our guardian home program is a way we help our mamas have their forever homes from the very start. Guardian girls go home with their families at 8 weeks old and live with them as usual until 2 years old. At that time they get scanned for OFA and with the results we decide if we will breed them or not. If they are a good candidate for breeding, at their next heat they will come to the farm for a week for breeding. They go home for most of the pregnancy and then come back to the farm for whelping and raising their puppies - about two months time. Guardian girls go home after each litter and typically will have one litter a year for three years. When their breeding time is done, they are spayed and formal AKC ownership is transferred to the guardian family.

How do I qualify?

Guardian girls sell for a reduced price and guarantee first pick of the litter female. In order to qualify, families must be within an hour driving time of our farm. They must not have any intact male dogs at their homes or any female dogs. They must be good communicators and plan on staying in the area for about five years after purchasing a guardian puppy. If you are interested please reach out in the contact form. Thank you!
